Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Secure Convincing 3-0 Victory Over Creck Sporting Club

In a dominating display at Kamuzu Stadium, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers emerged victorious with a resounding 3-0 win over Creck Sporting Club in the third week of the TNM Super League.

The match showcased Wanderers’ prowess as they outplayed their opponents in every aspect of the game.

The encounter kicked off with Mighty Mukuru Wanderers immediately asserting their dominance in Creck Sporting’s territory, winning two corners within a span of five minutes.


The pressure from Wanderers continued to build, leading to Timothy Siliwamba being fouled in the 18-yard box and winning a penalty.

Stanley Sanudi coolly converted the penalty in the 17th minute, setting the tone for the match.

Despite Creck Sporting being awarded a penalty in the 25th minute, they failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

Wanderers quickly bounced back, with Christopher Kumwembe heading in a corner taken by Sanudi in the 35th minute, leaving Creck Sporting goalkeeper Charles Chisale unable to make the save.

The first half ended with Wanderers in the lead with a scoreline of 2-0, showcasing their dominance on the field.

The second half began on a high note, with both teams winning corners within minutes. Wanderers’ defense remained solid, thwarting Creck Sporting’s attempts to score.

As the match progressed, Gadi Chirwa capitalized on defensive errors by Creck Sporting and scored in the 41st minute of the second half, sealing the victory for Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

Despite five additional minutes added after normal time, Creck Sporting failed to break through Wanderers’ defense, solidifying their defeat.

In his post-match interview, Coach Macdonald Mtetemera of Creck Sporting acknowledged Wanderers’ superior performance, stating, “We did not play our usual match today. The day belonged to Wanderers.

” Meanwhile, Assistant Coach Meke Mwase of Wanderers praised his team’s execution of the game plan and promised to address areas needing improvement.

Wisdom Mpinganjira was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution to Wanderers’ victory.

The match concluded with Wanderers celebrating a well-deserved win, while Creck Sporting reflected on their performance and vowed to come back stronger in future matches.
